Ginx- Metro: Last Light Review
Added: 07.06.2013 20:23 | 24 views | 0 comments
Ginx:The world of Metro was first written into being by Dimitri Glukovsky in his novel Metro 2033, and adapted into a complex but flawed first person shooter by developers 4A games. Now, Metro Last light picks up where it left off, following the story of young ranger Artyom once more. For the first hour newcomers will be playing catch up, as they begin to understand the politics, people and stations of the metro but once they are immersed in this dense world, there will be no escape. Its a plot that ranges in quality of writing and clarity, but in atmosphere and detail its unbeatable. Showing the kind of maturity that few games ever reach, its portrayal of the dangers of extreme ideologies, and the atrocities that man is able to commit in the name of ignorance is startlingly well observed.

As you begin your adventure, youre treated to an intro (which you actually get to participate in, but doesnt affect the intros outcome) which has you thinking youre being thrown into combat with towering mutants right away, only to discover that you were playing in a nightmare. Thus, your story now begins and right away you find yourself getting totally immersed in it.
Theres plenty of NPC interaction here and your comrades A.I. is almost spot on when you approach them to chat or to get information. But if you think youre just going to be killing anything that moves with guns blazing, guess again youll also have to hone your stealth skills to get through this game. In fact, the game more or less alternates between action-packed missions and careful stealth missions that force you to pay close attention to all of MLLs intricate details. Just dont forget to explore.

The Mobius was created by Alexander Bereznyak, aka Monakh, who was originally employed by 4A as a capture artist. Soon it turned out that his talent was needed in the production team and he took over the role as lead technical artist. But over a couple of months, he continued to work alone on this trailer, that is now made public.

Deep Silver and 4A have given gamers a great fps in the way of Metro Last Light. Metro Last Light doesnt push gaming PCS and consoles to new levels but it does craft a wonderful FPS experience that moves beyond just going through the motions. The captivating and interesting story is one of the biggest selling points while the action and gameplay add depth to a fantastic game. This may be one of the sleeper hits of 2013.

DarkStation: "Last Light succeeds due to 4As attention to detail. Every overheard conversation, every child bundled up in rags and playing without a care, and every last bit of hardscrabble technology give the Metro that living, breathing feel that so many games chase. Its a relentlessly tense stealth-action shooter that manages to make its dead-horse premise feel as if its never been seen before now."
